In the summer of 2022, two generations — husband-and-wife teams from the same family — stumbled upon a property brimming with potential in the small town of Cross Hill, South Carolina. At the time, 258 North Main Street was known as Lady Amelia — a name that instantly felt destined. Amelia is the name of owners Dean and Angela’s granddaughter, and of Jon and Anna’s daughter — a perfect sign that this place was meant to be ours.
What followed was a leap of faith — one that gave us the honor of becoming stewards of this historic estate and the responsibility to preserve a piece of the community’s story.
Since that day, we’ve poured our hearts, creativity, and attention to detail into transforming what was once a beloved bed-and-breakfast into Château Amelia — a luxurious yet welcoming wedding and event venue in the heart of Upstate South Carolina.
We remain deeply grateful to the talented local tradespeople who helped bring our vision to life and to every guest who has walked through our doors. As we continue refining every nook and cranny and expanding our service offerings, our hearts stay grounded in gratitude — to this community, to our couples, and to everyone who helps breathe life into this extraordinary place we call Château Amelia.

Every great love story deserves a setting worthy of its beauty.
Château Amelia was lovingly restored with one purpose in mind: to host small, intimate weddings as relaxed, full-weekend experiences — giving couples the chance to slow down, stay together, and celebrate without rushing.
This magical venue grew from our family’s dream to create not just another event space, but a place where couples could gather, connect, and craft memories that last a lifetime.
What began as a circa-1905 Victorian mini-mansion in Cross Hill, South Carolina has become one of the Upstate’s most sought-after estate-style wedding destinations — where southern charm meets timeless elegance, and every couple’s story takes center stage.

More than bricks and gardens, Château Amelia is a living piece of history lovingly restored to welcome new beginnings.
Inside, sun-filled bridal suites, elegant parlors, and versatile entertaining spaces flow seamlessly from ceremony to reception.
Outside, four acres of woodlands, lawns, and gardens offer endless ceremony and photo backdrops — from forested vows to candle-lit patio dinners.

We saw a gap in South Carolina’s wedding landscape: couples forced to choose between rushed single-day rentals or far-off destination venues.
We designed Château Amelia to offer something different — an estate-style experience that feels luxurious yet attainable.
Our mission is simple: to make sure your wedding feels unhurried, unforgettable, and completely yours.

Behind the chandeliers and gardens is a family devoted to hospitality.
From your first tour to your final dance, we guide, support, and celebrate alongside you.
Because for us, weddings aren’t just events — they’re stories that live on in every photo, laugh, and lingering sunset.
“We wanted to give couples a place where time slows down, where laughter carries across the lawn, and where every detail tells part of their story.”
