One of the unique features of Chateau Amelia is its beautiful outdoor garden, which is perfect for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail receptions. The vintage mini mansion is truly one of the best in class of beauty and preservation. The circa 1905 Victorian structure is a breathtaking gem, while the events barn is styled in modern glam with just a twist of rustic. Behind the barn sits a cocktail patio and forest backdrop ceremony site. It is this unique blend of old charm and modern beauty set on almost 4 acres of manicured grounds set within the magical forest.that makes for a winning combination.
Weddings:
1 day rental.: $2,175+ tax (Sun-Thur) $2,495+tax (Friday or Saturday)
2 day rental: $3,495+ tax non weekends $3,995+ tax weekends

12 hour access to historic house and events barn
25% deposit due at booking, 25% due 9 months out, 25% due 6 months out, final 25% due 90 days out. Can be booked up to 18 months in advance.
Micro Weddings: $1,795+ tax
8 hour barn only rental for up to 55 guests.

Our maximum guest count is 100. Our most ideal headcount sits in the 50-80 range for the usage to flow at its optimum. Since we have a variety of flex spaces, it allows us to scale to different head counts up to the max of 100.
Yes, there is parking available at Chateau Amelia. to accommodate our maximum guest count and for vendors. We can also offer valet parking at an additional rate if desired. No vehicles (other than those who may be overnight guests in the Chateau) can be left parked overnight.
Elopements and micros: 50% at booking. Remaining 50% 7 days prior to event
Full weddings: 25% at booking, 25% 9 months out, 25% 6 months out, final 25% 90 days out.
If you are booking a full wedding at shorter notice than 9 months out, you will likely be placed on a monthly payment plan to help you balance your budget.
You are welcome to send smaller partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date(s) so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule. Please include the last names of the couple and wedding date in the memo line if you are mailing a check. Tax is applied to each payment.

To reserve a date, email us at frontdesk@chateauamelia.com saying you are ready to book "XYZ" date if it is still available. We suggest you email us stating you are ready to book your preferred date and then include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Prior to booking a date, we hope you are able to come out in person to visit the property. prior to booking your date. It is not a requirement to tour in person, however. Dates are reserved on a first requested basis. Whomever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be the first in line.

We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. Generally tours are offered Sunday afternoons and on Monday-Wednesdays. Because the property can be in use by guests, we ask that you refrain from "dropping by" to allow our guests private enjoyment.
In the event a customer needs to cancel an event, the customer shall notify Chateau Amelia immediately in writing or email. Once canceled, customer shall be responsible for liquidated damages as follows:
a) Cancellation of event more than 6 months in advance prior to scheduled date, customer shall forfeit to Chateau Amelia 25% of the total venue rental rate.
b) Cancellation of event less than 6 months, but more than 3 months prior to scheduled date, customer shall forfeit to Chateau Amelia 50% of the venue rental rate.
c) Cancellation of event less than 3 months prior to scheduled date, customer shall forfeit to Chateau Amelia the entire rental fee.
d) Cancellation of any micro wedding or elopement package at any time shall forfeit to Chateau Amelia the entire rental fee.
In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at Chateau Amelia is between $9,000-$15,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photography etc.), however that budget could also be outside of that range.
Micro weddings are a great budget friendly option to celebrate your special day. Our micro weddings package is $1,495+ tax and includes up to 40 guests and 8 hours of events barn rental.
You have free choice on who you decide to cater your wedding. Your caterers will love that they have the full use of our commercial kitchen for your event. We also have a list of caterers in the vicinity should you like some recommendations.
We want your food options to be as elegant or affordable as your budget allows, and therefore we don't have a food or guest count minimum. Some caterers may have a reasonable minimum for specific dates.
We recommend for efficiency that you book your caterer directly and schedule your tasting etc direct with them.
For Fridays/Saturdays, please end music by 10-00pm.
For Sundays-Thursdays by 9:30pm
At present, your event is offered as a "private" event. While you are not required to hire a bartender, we do request that you obtain an insurance policy to protect you as the host of your event. In addition to our awesome venue, we provide enough tables and chairs for up to 100 guests. We will place the tables and chairs in the arrangement of your choice. We do offer tablecloths, chair sashes, and some limited draping, however the final touches of florals, table decor, cups, silverware and the like will be left to your imagination and subjective styling. We have a great blank canvass that comes with the basics to get you a good deal of the way there to your dream wedding look.
In certain circumstances (usually only if you are booking an elopement or micro wedding or possibly the 2 day rental), we may also offer our own overnight accommodation for up to 16 guests at Chateau Amelia. This is subject to availability and our approval only.
In most cases for full weddings, especially during peak wedding season, we need to be able to turn the property over to a new wedding party and making beds makes it impossible to have the property cleaned and ready for the next wedding event.
In the circumstances when our property is not made available or if you have more than 16 guests, there are other options locally:

At Chateau Amelia, we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple's event is special and receives our full attention.
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.
In the case of rain, we have a beautiful plan B set-up indoors inside the barn for the ceremony. You also have the option of tenting either our patio or elsewhere on the grounds.
We are dog friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval by one of our owners) at the ceremony and pictures. Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof near food. Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom..

You will have access to the venue at the time listed on your contract, not earlier. Please plan accordingly. Most events follow this time schedule:
Elopements: Check into the Chateau at 4pm on your check in day
Check out of the Chateau at 10am on your check out day
Micro Weddings (barn only 8 hour rental up to 40 guests)
Access starts at 2-3pm and ends at 10-11pm
Full weddings: (access to Historic home and events barn and grounds up to 100 guests)
Access starts at 11am and ends at 11pm (each day of your rental)
Most times, we allow your rehearsal the day prior to your event. Depending on whether we have another event will dictate the exact timing of this. You are also able to do your rehearsal the day of in the morning.
We are a working vacation rental and venue rental operation that has a precise schedule for all uses of the property. For that reason, all deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy. If you need more flexible delivery window, consider opting for the 2 day rental package.
We suggest the following:
Friday weddings: 5:00pm
Saturday weddings: 4:00-5:00pm
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday weddings: 3:00-4:00pm
This is a great question! If you're trying to compare venues "apples to apples" we feel like this is a tricky question. Our answer is no. We think it's possible for the job duties of a "day-of-wedding coordinator" to mean something different to you than it does to us, and the last thing we want is the opportunity for miscommunication. However, we do have a team leader here before you arrive onsite who stays with you throughout the duration of your big day.
